Steadman’s Dictionary defines disease as an interruption or cessation or disorder of bodily functions, system or organ illness, morbus, ill, sickness. A morbid entity characterized by at least two criteria: a recognizable agent, an identifiable group of signs or symptoms, or consistent anatomical alterations. Literally, disease means something is wrong with the body. I would like to believe that by the time we’re done tonight I will have shown you why what we are currently defining as Autism/PDD, and other disorders fit into this diagnosis.
