On one of her workups before I met the girl, the psychologist wrote down "marked impairment in multiple non-verbal expressions, failure to develop peer relationships, delay and lack of developmental spoken language" and all of the typical stereotypes that you label as Autism/PDD. As noted, she had the required delays in functioning prior to three years old. There is nothing about this diagnosis that describes anything physiologically wrong with that child. All you’re seeing is that if you present the right symptoms, the right problems, you somehow fall into the diagnosis of autism.
